1. Open an existing exam.
2. Open the Options menu and select "Question Groups..."
3. Click on the "Create groups..." button.
4. A list of all question types found in the exam will be listed.
5. Activate one of the question types listed.
6. Check the "Group description" box on the lower right.
7. A description / instruction edit box will appear.
8. Type in any special instructions needed for the selected question group.
9. Repeat this process for each question type as needed. (Not all groups may need special instructions.)
10. Those instructions will appear on the printed exam immediately preceeding that question type group.
11. Note that the font style can be modified (e.g.: bold type) as desired.
12. In the Group Header panel on the left, top and bottom margins (blank line spacers) can be designated for each group description / instruction.

Font styles can also be changed when modifying the following edit boxes:

• Question Dialog Box (while modifying questions, choices or answers within banks or exams).
• Exam Instructions...(while modifying instruction header for the entire exam).
