1. Open an existing exam.
2. Open the Options menu and select "Question Groups..."
3. Click on the "Create groups..." button.
4. A list of all question types found in the exam will be listed.
5. Activate one of the question types listed.
6. Use the up or down arrows to the right of the list to place a selected type in a desired position as that group will be printed in the exam.
7. Repeat this process for each question type until the desired order of types is achieved.
8. These groups can be regrouped or cleared by clicking the appropriate button shown in the illustration.

Note that as each question type is activated, they will be highlighted in the exam panel located on one side of the Question Group dialog box.

If special instructions for each group is desired follow the following steps:

1. Check the "Group description" box on the lower right.
2. A description / instruction edit box will appear.
3. Click on a question group that needs a description or special instructions.
4. Type in any special instructions needed for a particular group.
5. Those instructions will appear on the printed exam immediately preceeding that question type group
6. Note that the font style can be modified (e.g.: bold type) as desired.
